I wanted to write and thank all of you who have visited my blog here in the first two weeks. Your comments and positive feedback have been great. I have put your suggestions for future blog entries on my to-do-list.
Speaking of which, having posted on topics such as bakeware and tools, I thought I would write a quick discussion on a useful tool for your kitchen, vacuum sealer appliances. Then, I am going to write a multi-part blog on cookware. I want to discuss the metals used in cookware, the advantages or benefits of each type. Next, talk a little about which pans one might need and how to make the right choices. The topic of cookware can be challenging and confusing, but I hope that I can explain in such a way that simplifies the technical aspects and makes it more approachable. Hey, if I can put my simple noodle around this, then so can you. This little series may not be consecutive, but we will see.
After that, I am going to move onto egg poaching/cooking. I want to look at the tools or gadgets used in doing this. There are some items that might be considered cookware (it certainly isn’t bakeware), I may even touch on the electric appliances one can use to cook those eggs.
I also want to cover a topic, that will also be multi-part, on the whys of various terms used in tools, gadgets, cookware and bakeware. Why do we call a specific item this name and not that? These terms can vary depending on region and culture.
