Demand for immersion blenders has surprisingly risen over the last five years as consumers embrace the convenience. This despite the popularity of super blenders like Vitamix and Blendtec. I think what people like most is being able to quickly chop, mix or puree something easily in any pot or container, without the heavy lifting of a larger appliance.
This year, one of the best nonstick cookware manufacturers around, Swiss Diamond, introduced an immersion blender of their own and on first glance, it looks formidable.
Web Browning, director of sales for Swiss Made Brands USA, said, “Swiss Diamond’s recent introduction of the Jet Mix Immersion Blender has been well received. Both consumers and retailers are excited about the new product.”
The Swiss Diamond Jet Mix Immersion Blender features a unique silicon head specifically designed for use with non-stick cookware to protect against scratching. Swiss Diamond launched the Jet Mix Immersion Blender in early in the second quarter of 2016.
Browning continued, “By introducing a product that is tailored to the unique needs of our nonstick cookware retailers and consumers, we are able to create a niche. We are amazed at our success to date and look forward to the continued growth of the Jet Mix immersion blender as well as the introduction of other kitchen electrics in the future.”
The company wants to keep customers engaged by uploading several recipe videos to their YouTube channel to demonstrate the power and versatility of the Jet Mix.
The Jet Mix features variable speed for superior control, ergonomic grip, super high power – 600W, 14,000/8,000 RPM, a silicon protected base for immersion in nonstick cookware, and five quick to change accessories: mincer blade, multi-purpose blade, whisk, beater, and mini chopper.
Based on what I have seen, this looks like a quality piece of equipment with serious power. Possessing 660 watts, more power than my 6qt KitchenAid Stand Mixer, there would be no kitchen task it couldn’t handle. The Jet Mix is, however, powerful enough to break eggs or cream if you weren’t careful. Another feature I love is the silicone coating that will protect the nonstick pan coatings.
I would love to get my hands on one and put it through its paces, because I have a feeling it could become a fast favorite.
For those who may not know them, and you should, Swiss Diamond is one of the best cookware and kitchenware brands around. Established in 2001, with a manufacturing facility in Sierre, Switzerland, they use safe, high-quality materials, with an emphasis on innovation and eco-friendly production process.
